We just rolled out a major update to how WinningAds generates ad images, and honestly? The difference is night and day.
One of our team members tested it on some e-commerce products that previously gave us trouble. Every single image came out looking good. Product labels accurate. No obviously AI-created images. Creatives ready to run. No duds.

If you're running Facebook ads, you've probably noticed that just changing a headline or tweaking a color isn't enough anymore. You need more variety. Different angles, different messages, and ads that speak to different types of customers.
That's exactly what this (massive) update delivers.
We’ve completely rebuilt our ad generation engine to give you more control and more creative diversity. This means:
New logic for how your ads are generated
Completely new controls in Advanced Mode
A more flexible, modular system that lets us move faster with future updates
The result? You now have:
More diversity in your ad batches
More control over audiences, messages, visuals, and tone

You have two ways to generate ads:
Simple Mode is perfect when you want to generate ads quickly without customizing every detail. Just choose how many ads you want, and we’ll do the rest.
Advanced Mode gives you full creative control. You can choose exactly which audiences, customer problems, desires, awareness levels, and ad styles to include in your batch.
You’ll notice the biggest difference is on the “Advance Mode”. For example:
You can now create ads to multiple target audiences in one go. For example, let’s say you select 2 target audiences and are planning to create 20 ads, you’ll then get ± 10 ads optimized for each target audience.
You can set the campaign objective.
You can choose which ad styles to use.
You can choose one or multiple aspect ratios. When you select multiple aspect ratios, these will randomly be used (e.g. 5 square + 5 story ads).

On top of that, you also have many optional settings as well:

Visual Style
Lock in the look and feel of the visuals used in your ads.
Customer Desires
Highlight the specific outcomes your audience wants most.
Customer Problems
Focus the messaging on pain points that matter to your audience.
Awareness Level
Tailor ads to where your audience is in their journey (Unaware → Deal Ready).
Problem Intensity
Adjust how strongly the pain point is agitated in your messaging.
Primary Objection
Address a key objection that might stop someone from buying.
Hook Style
Control how each ad starts—choose from multiple opening angles.
CTA Approach
Choose how you frame your call to action to drive more clicks.
Tone & Voice
Set the personality of the ad (e.g., bold, friendly, professional).
Copy Length
Decide how long each variation should be—short, medium, long.
Formatting Style
Structure how your message is laid out (e.g., paragraph, bullet list).
Ad Variety Level
Control how different your ads feel from one another in a batch.
Custom Instructions
Add any extra notes or rules you want the AI to follow.
If you've already created projects in Winning Ads, you’ll see an “Upgrade Required” label on your existing ones. That just means we need to prep your project for this new engine.

Click “Upgrade,” wait a minute or two, and you're good to go.
No settings will change, and your old ads won’t be affected.
You only need to do this once per project. If you have multiple, you can upgrade them all in one go.
This update gives you the power to create better, more relevant ads - and a lot more flexibility in how you do it.

Two new updates this week focused on one goal: helping you move faster.
No more publishing ads one-by-one. You can now select any number of ads and publish them all at once. Just multi-select your favorites, click “Publish Selected Ads,” choose your ad account, and you’re done.
Compliance checks are handled automatically behind the scenes, and we’ll show you what passed before anything gets published. Everything flows directly into your Meta ad account—no copy-pasting needed.
We’ve updated the way you organize your ads:
Click the star to mark ads you want to reuse or publish later.
Hide ads you don’t plan to use right now.
Toggle views to show All / Favorites / Hidden.
This makes it easy to keep your workspace clean and quickly find the ads that are actually worth running.

Creating Facebook ads shouldn’t be a pain. And thanks to this update—it won’t. Whether you're running your first ad or launching your fiftieth product, this one’s going to make your workflow smoother, smarter, and (dare we say) a bit more fun.
The minute you create a new offer and drop in a URL, WinningAds gets to work in the background. We now automatically scrape the page, find all the visual assets (product shots, logos, etc.), so you can select which images you’ll want to use.
From there:
✅ You can reclassify any image (logo, product, other)
✅ Add or delete images manually
✅ Select which images should be used when generating ads
And here’s the kicker—every ad you generate or recreate will automatically use the right visuals.

Bonus: “Create Similar Ad” now respects your product images, so every ad includes your product images.
Say hello to Training Data and Instructions, the two newest superpowers in your project settings.
🧾 Training Data = background knowledge
Upload your VSL transcript, customer FAQs, or even Slack notes about your ideal buyer. AI will reference this content whenever it's relevant.
📢 Instructions = hard rules
Brand voice? Legal disclaimers? Specific language you always want included? Instructions are baked into every ad prompt, every time.
Use either (or both) to make sure your ads sound more you - and less “Hi I am ChatGPT and I wrote this at gunpoint.”
You’ll find these options at the “Settings” page of your project.

You know what ruins a good ad? An AI-generated squiggly mess pretending to be your logo.
So we fixed that.
Now when your logo is included in an ad:
We place your actual file on the image
AI suggests the best position automatically
You can change logo placement in a click
Or remove it entirely if you prefer a clean look

Remember when you had to wait for compliance checks before hitting “Publish”? Yeah, we didn’t love that either.
Now, every ad is automatically scanned for Meta compliance right after it’s created. You’ll see:
✅ Pass/fail results
📌 Explanation of any issues
🔧 A one-click button to adjust the copy
And yes—when you click the button, we’ll rewrite the ad on the spot to reduce your chances of rejection.
We also snuck in a bunch of usability improvements:

It's been just over a week since our Early Bird launch, and honestly? Your feedback has been invaluable. Here's what we've been working on behind the scenes.
Right after launch, our main mission was simple: squash bugs, smooth out hiccups, and make sure onboarding worked well across all industries (e-com, coaches, nonprofits, local biz, you name it). Things are running smoother now thanks to all your input.
If you're selling physical products, this one's for you.
Before today, generated ads sometimes showed your products looking... well, wrong. Picture this: you upload a photo of your peanut butter jar, and the AI creates an ad with packaging that looks like a completely different product. Not exactly confidence-inspiring for potential customers.
We've upgraded our model so the product in your generated ads actually matches what you uploaded. The difference is pretty dramatic.
Some examples:


When you're generating ads, upload your actual product photos (you can add up to 5 images). The more reference material you give the AI, the more accurate and on-brand your ads will look.
Not every improvement shows up as a flashy dashboard update. We're continuously tweaking ad quality in the background, with more updates already in development. Our focus remains simple: creating ads that actually generate ROAS for your business, not just pretty pictures.

🤖 GPT-5 Is Here
OpenAI just dropped GPT-5 last Thursday — and within 24 hours, we had it running in WinningAds. We’re not using it for everything, but certain parts of ad generation now tap into its extra brainpower.
📐 Pick Your Perfect Image Size
Previously, ad images were always square. Now, you can choose portrait (9:16), landscape (16:9), or stick with square when generating ads. More formats, more flexibility, more testing angles.

🇮🇸 Icelandic Joins the Party
We already support a ton of languages, but now Icelandic (Íslenska) is officially in the mix. If your language isn’t supported yet, just let us know — we’ll add it.
🎯 More Variety in Ads
We’ve tweaked our generation engine so your ads aren’t just “good,” they’re different. Expect more updates & upgrades in regard to the ad output, with more angles to test. More improvements are coming here!
🐛 Bug Fix – Image Retry
Some users had ads fail to generate and couldn’t retry them. That’s fixed — now you can simply hit “retry” and keep moving without losing momentum.
